of his herding instincts. He is a very fast, athletic dog who
loves to chase balls. Contact PROD at 541-387-3647.

Our Petcare program is operated
by virtue of foster care space located in private homes in Hood
River, Underwood, and White Salmon, which temporarily house stray
or owner released dogs until permanent adoptive homes can be
identified. The dogs we select must be of sound temperament and
disposition. On average they will be with us from 2 weeks to
2 months. During that time, we work to accomplish crate and housetraining,
socializing in public while walking nicely on a leash, socialization
with other animals, and helping them to understand basic obedience
commands. We do stay in touch with the families that adopt our
dogs to offer instruction if needed to ensure a successful adoption.
Our adoption fee is $95 which
covers neutering, vaccinations (including rabies), worming and
some training. There is a 30 Day "trial period" during
which time adopters can return the canine for a full refund.
We are actively looking for
volunteers who are willing to care for a canine in their home.
Our interest is in placing a dog in a structured environment
to increase his or her chances of a successful adoption. If you
like dogs and can find the time, we'd love to hear from you.
Either stop by our office or we can send you an application in
the mail. Thanks for considering this worthwhile endeavor.
