These hours apply to all types of burning.
Burn barrels must be located in a 10 foot clear area at least 25 feet from buildings and combustibles. The barrel must be covered with a screen with mesh size no larger than 1/4 inch and must be in good condition.
Burn permits may be obtained from the Fire Marshal. Call 541-386-5551, or stop by West Side Fire Department, Station #2, 1185 Tucker Road. Hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday thru Friday. Please call ahead; the Fire Marshal often performs duties away from the office, but may be reached by phone or pager.
