Welcome to our website.  Created for families living in Skamania and Klickitat County in Southwest
Washington State, it strives to provide accurate and timely parenting information available throughout the
region. We hope you find the information you need. Many times it may seem like you are all alone,
but your worries and concerns are often shared by many parents.

Please use this site to learn about and connect with
support groups, financial information, classes, play groups, workshops and other resources designed
for you as parents, grandparents or other caregivers.
Parenting is not easy-it is a 24 hours a day,  7 days a week commitment that
takes incredible hard work, patience and love.
And that is just for you as a parent!

If I had my child to raise all over again,
I'd build self-esteem first, and the house later.
I'd finger-paint more, and point the finger less.
I would do less correcting and more connecting.
I'd take my eyes off my watch, and watch with my eyes.
I'd take more hikes and fly more kites.
I'd stop playing serious, and seriously play.
I would run through more fields and gaze at more stars.
I'd do more hugging and less tugging.
~Diane Loomans, from "If I Had My Child To Raise Over Again"
