The Next Door, Inc. has been creating, promoting and providing services to children and families in the Columbia Gorge since 1971.
Programs like Big Brothers Big Sisters and New Parent Services first baby visits prevent problems before they start. Drug, alcohol, and tobacco
prevention programs in our high schools help teens choose and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Treatment Services help young people who are already in trouble get their lives back on track.
Each year we work with thousands of people in the Columbia Gorge who are struggling to establish healthy habits and skills.
Our work with a variety of community partners, from the Commission on Children and Families to Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to the Department of Human Services (DHS) and beyond allows us to have a real impact on the problems families and children face.
