The next Executive Board meeting will be 7:00 AM Tuesday, June 26th at the Hood River Charburger. All members are invited to attend.

June 12th Meeting

George Shelton, SW Washington Assistant Regional Manager for the DNR, will be talking to us about changes in their management with the new Commissioner of Public Lands.

Planning is continuing for the 2002 SAF State convention. If you are interested in helping out there will be a conference call at the ODF office in The Dalles on June 4th at 4:30pm. Please join us and help make plans for the 2002 activities.

Committees: If you want to be on one of the committees please let us know. Call any of the exec board and let them know or come to one of the next meetings. Their phone numbers can be found on our web site.

Forest Management Tour: At the last exec meeting it was suggested that we sponsor a tour focusing on forest health and land management issues on forest land. This would be a tour open to the public in order to provide them with an understanding of the economic and environmental factors affecting current forest management practices.

If you are interested in helping to arrange such a tour, please come to one of our next meetings to help us begin planning for this event.
