Project Learning Tree
We are planning on sponsoring a project
learning tree-training session in Hood River sometime this spring. If you are
interested in helping with this effort please come to one of the next Exec
meetings or one of the next chapter meetings. We are looking for members to do
outreach at the schools.
2002 State Convention
Planning
has started for the 2002 SAF State convention will be co-sponsored by the
Columbia Gorge and Blue Mountain Chapter.
On April 9th, Larry Hoffman, Ole Helgerson, and Richard Larson
met with four members from the Blue Mountain Chapter in Pendleton to begin the
preparations for the 2002 state convention.
Subjects
discussed at the meeting were location for the convention, theme for the
convention, and committees to be formed.
Location:
It was
decided that a general poll of attendees at the 2001 convention during
registration would help determine if the 2002 convention will be held in Hood
River or La Grande. Each
site has different advantages.
Theme:
It was
decided that the general theme for the convention would be integration.
The details for this will be decide at future meetings.
Committees:
Committees
are being formed. If
you would like to be a part of a committee, please come to either of the May
meetings.
