The next Executive Board meeting will be on Friday, February 4th 2000 at 7:00 AM at the Hood River Charburger. All members are encouraged to attend.
February Meeting
Our regular membership meeting will be at the Charburger in Hood River onThursday, February 17th. The dinner/social will start at 6:30 p.m. with the business meeting starting at 7:00 p.m.. We will be viewing one of three videos. Overview of landscape processes, wildlife and fisheries linkages, J Franklin, or Understanding aboriginal approaches to land management, by Garry Merkel, or Landscape analysis and design, by Nancy Diaz. Ole has recommended both the Franklin and Merkel's tapes.
March Meeting
Rolando Mendez will demostratethe Forest Vegetation Simulator (FVS) at the Thursday, March 16th, 2000 meeting. This is a Noon meeting at the China Gorge Resturant in Hood River. Mark your calendars!
Also, Rick Barnes, the OSAF Chairperson will be visiting our Chapter during this meeting. He would like our ideas on what the State Office should do this year.

June 24th - Field Trip to Kreps Ranch
Everyone is welcome. Field trip will feature classes on topics such as thinning, pruning, forest health, fire, wildlife management, marketing, and the like conducted either hourly or as 3 hour special emphasis classes. Forestry equipment vendors will also be on hand. We are being asked to help either as instructors or in the operations of the day. This even attract between 250 and 450 attendees.
