Windsurfing in the Gorge
Depending where the wind and swells are best on any given day, Bingen Marina, Doug's Beach, Avery Boat Launch, Maryhill State Park, or Roosevelt Park offer day-to-day windsurfing challenges for enthusiasts of all skill levels.
Columbia Gorge Windsurfing Association (CGWA)
The CGWA is one of the largest and most successful windsurfing associations in the United States. Members from across the nation, Canada, and Europe who love the sport of windsurfing and want improved access along the shores of the Columbia River (in both Washington and Oregon) join CGWA -- you can too.
Doug's Beach State Park
Named after Doug Campbell, one of the early originators of the sport of windsurfing. Doug's Beach State Park is a 400-acre, undeveloped day-use park on the Columbia River. This is one of the premier windsurfing sites in the Columbia Gorge and is rated for advanced sailors.
