LYLE LIONS CLUB

The Lyle Lion's Club was established in 1978.  The Lions meet  the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at the Lion's Community Center.  A potluck supper begins at 6:30 p.m.  This Lion's Club is very involved in the community in which they serve through supplying eye glasses to the needy, scholarships to high school seniors, Tuesday Senior Meals, and Christmas baskets and gifts to those in need.  The Lions have a monthly breakfast on the first Saturday of each month to help raise money to support these programs.

LYLE COMMUNITY COUNCIL (LCC)

The Lyle Community Council (LCC) is a volunteer, non-profit organization consisting of Lyle residents that meets on the 4th Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Lyle Lion's Community Building.  Anyone who is interested in keeping Lyle a great place to live and work is invited to attend council meetings and/or become members of any of the committees.

The purpose of this organization is to represent the community of Lyle, to initiate, work on, and to consider projects and studies concerning the community, and to submit proposals to the community and various agencies for their consideration.  We want to be able to provide a forum for citizens to voice their concerns and opinions, and to provide a collective voice for the Lyle community to be heard by federal, county, and state agencies.

COLUMBIA GRANGE

Columbia Grange was organized in 1889 as a farmers' organization.  Today its membership includes people of all occupations.  The Grange meets on the first and third Saturdays of each month with a potluck dinner at 6:30 p.m. and a meeting at 8:00 p.m.  There are Open House events in the spring, in October, and in December.  All are welcome to come and new members are appreciated.

The Auxiliary, which was organized in 1943, is for the ladies of the Grange.  The Auxiliary meets on the third Friday of the month with a potluck at 12:30 p.m. and a meeting following.  The aim is to support the Grange and help nursing homes or special schools.  They always enjoy visitors and new members are welcome.
