Best Management Practices for Orchard Spraying

Apply dormant sprays with a minimum of 200 gallons of water per acre with increased droplet size and reduced drift.

Dormant sprays are important in pest management programs.

Dormant sprays are under increased scrutiny from the EPA.

Eliminate spray drift by applying dormant sprays with a minimum of 200

gallons of water per acre.

Foliage and fruit provides a physical barrier to spray drift.

The absence of this physical barrier inherently increases the potential for spray drift.

Not increasing droplet size further increases the potential for spray drift.
