Columbia Area Transit (C.A.T.) offers Dial-A-Ride, door to door service throughout Hood River County. Dial-A-Ride trips are scheduled in advance and may include other passengers riding on the bus going to different destinations. C.A.T. operates lift-equipped buses to serve customers who require the use of a wheelchair or have difficulty negotiating steps. C.A.T. is a convenient way to make essential trips to shopping, work, medical appointments, or recreational activities. As well as Dial-A-Ride service, C.A.T. offers specific shopping days to different areas of Hood River County on a weekly basis. Can I Use C.A.T.? C.A.T. is public transportation. Anyone is eligible to use C.A.T. services. When can I use C.A.T.? C.A.T. is generally available Monday through Friday. Please call the office for specific times and holiday closures. Where can I go on C.A.T.? C.A.T. serves the Hood River, Odell, Parkdale, and Cascade Locks communities. If you have a question about whether or not the ride you want is within the C.A.T. service area or times, please call the C.A.T. office. Once a month we have a trip to Portland - we go the 4th Friday, January - October and the 3rd Friday , November and December. The bus leaves Hood River at 9:00 and we leave Portland at 3:00. The usual destination is the Clackamas Towne Center. Fare is $8.00 each way. Reservations are required. SCHEDULING A RIDE
