Company Profile

 

Hood River County Transportation District provides public transportation in Hood River County under the name of Columbia Area Transit (CAT).  We are a Special District organized under Oregon Revised Statutes (ORS) 267.  Our major sources of funding include grants from the Federal Transit Administration, several different sources from the State of Oregon, local property tax and user fees.   The District was formed by a vote of Hood River County Residents in 1993. 

Columbia Area Transit provides accessible, quality transportation to the residents of Hood River County and the surrounding Columbia Gorge area.

Gorge TransLink is an alliance of rural providers offering public transportation services throughout the Mid-Columbia River Gorge area and to more distant destinations, such as the metropolitan cities of Portland, Oregon and Vancouver, Washington. Operations Manager  -  Hood River County Transportation District is seeking an Operations Manager for the Transit system in Hood River County in Oregon.  Will train and supervise CDL bus drivers, ensure vehicles, buildings and grounds are properly maintained according to our maintenance plans, monitor system operation for driver and passenger safety and investigate customer/general public complaints.  CDL with passenger endorsement must be obtained within 3 months of hire.  Salary range 17.60- 19.65 per hour.  Applications may be picked up in person at 224 Wasco Loop or request by email at cat1@gorge.net   Open until May 29, 2015.  Call 541-386-4202 for more information.
