CAT's new home - Open for business, June 21, 2010

Welcome to Hood River County Transportation District's Web Site!  We invite you to learn more about the public transportation services we provide in Hood River County!

 

Company Profile

Hood River County Transportation District provides public transportation in Hood River County under the name of Columbia Area Transit (CAT).  We are a Special District organized under Oregon Revised Statutes (ORS) 267.  Our major sources of funding include grants from the Federal Transit Administration, several different sources from the State of Oregon, local property tax and user fees.   The District was formed by a vote of Hood River County Residents in 1993. 

Columbia Area Transit provides accessible, quality transportation to the residents of Hood River County and the surrounding Columbia Gorge area. 

We are no longer the Greyhound Ticket Agent for Hood River effective May 31, 2010.

Gorge TransLink is an alliance of rural providers offering public transportation services throughout the Mid-Columbia River Gorge area and to more distant destinations, such as the metropolitan cities of Portland, Oregon and Vancouver, Washington. Gorge TransLink alliance members are committed to providing efficient, reliable and accessible transportation services to residents and visitors of Klickitat and Skamania Counties in Washington and Hood River, Sherman, and Wasco Counties in Oregon.
