Overnights with your troop.Out Council owns the following properties that are available for troops to reserve and stay at: The Girl Scout Lodge in The Dalles A large one room house with a fireplace, sleeping mats, cooking facility. The Homestead in Rhododendron A property with a large house, great fireplace, cooking & sleeping facility, wooded trails. The Girl Scout Cabin in Seaside A big Cabin close to the Beach. Camp Mountaindale (around Banks) During the summer many neighborhoods hold their Day Camps here, but it is available for troops during the spring, late summer, and early fall. There are camp sites & cooking facilites. Camp Arrowhead (by Carson Washington) During the summer this is where the Council has resident camp, but it is available for troops during the spring, late summer and early fall. There are cabins and tents on elevated platforms as well as cooking facilities. If you are interested in going somewhere with your troop, you need to reserve a facility. To do this the contact at Council is Marcia Sutter (503) 598-6501. She can tell you what the different sleeping configurations are for each place. June 1 is the opening for site reservation for the following year. You have to have a choice of three dates for each reservation. Site availability for specific dates is not given over the phone. You can also reserve sites at other Girl Scout Councils.
