Leader Application Process Trainings Your Girl Scout Neighborhood Neighborhood Service Team Neighborhood Leader Meetings Leader Support Council Information Council Policies & Procedures National Policies and Guidelines Review & Questions

Welcome!

The first section of the Orientation will cover things you need to know to get you started.  Don't feel you have to work your way through it all in one sitting.  Working at your own pace will also allow you to go back and focus on things that might need more review.  You can always come back to this Orientation for a refresher!  At the end of this, and other sections, will be a review and a place to post any questions you might have.

Thank you for offering your time and talents to the girls in our Neighborhood!

Let's start with your responsibilities as a Leader:

  • Understand information provided by Girl Scouts - Columbia River Council, Inc.

  • Attend, or be represented at, Neighborhood Leader meetings.

  • Use the current Girl Scout Leader’s Guide for your troop’s age level.

  • Be pro-active in requesting help as needed from your Program Consultant or the Girl Scout Office.

  • Attend appropriate training

  • Adhere to responsibilities and accountabilities listed on the Girl Scout Leader position description

We hope the information and resources in this Orientation will give you a solid start as a Girl Scout Leader.  You are going to have a blast!

First up: Leader Application Process!
