Friends of Goldendale Observatory (The Goldendale Observatory Corporation) Clear Sky Clock! This predicts clear sky conditions at Goldendale, based on weather reports. A non-profit group helping support the Goldendale Observatory State Park in Goldendale, Washington Welcome to the Home Page of the Friends of the Goldendale Observatory! Also known as the Goldendale Observatory Corporation (a non-profit company in the State of Washington), we support a very unique facility, an astronomical Observatory that is also a State Park! Located on a hill just north of Goldendale, Washington, the park is dedicated to year-round, public viewing through it's 24.5-inch Cassegrain telescope. Since the facility is free to the public, our group provides important support by purchasing supplies that are not in the park's budget, providing a summer student employee via a scholarship program, and assisting park personnel with volunteer amateur astronomers.
