Who is the Community Composting Committee?

A handful of enthusiastic community members have formed what we call the Community Composting Committee (CCC). We have come together with common goals and concerns regarding recycling and composting in Hood River County. Although our list of goals are virtually endless, we have developed a focus of the following:

Our Mission

We would like to develop and implement the best solutions for organic waste in Hood River County.

Goals of the Community Composting Committee

To develop a community composting site within Hood River County to collect organic waste and to produce a usable compost product to be available to the community

To educate and encourage our community on the topic of composting

To work with presently active waste reduction and handling agencies such as the county, city and local farms
