Oregon Advocacy Center (OAC) provides information about the rights of people with disabilities. Direct case advocacy is provided only to persons with disabilities for problems related to the disability. Publications available on their web site include information about special education. One of the priorities of the Oregon Advocacy Center is that people with disabilities should receive a free and appropriate education.
OAC's web site is also available in Spanish.

Oregon Parent Training and Information
Oregon PTI's mission is to educate and support parents, families and professionals in building partnerships that meet the needs of children and youth with disabilities. Oregon PTI provides programs and services throughout the state. Oregon PTI services include a Special Education Help Line: 888-891-6784 (toll-free in state only) or Email the Help Line at spedhelpline@orpti.org.

National Dissemination Center for Children with Disabilities
NICHCY is the central source of information on disabilities in infants, toddlers, children, and youth, the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), No Child Left Behind (as it relates to children with disabilities), and
research-based information on effective educational practices.

National Center on Secondary Education and Transition
The NCSET's mission is to create opportunities for youth with disabilities to achieve successful futures. Publications available on- line include Parent Briefs that "promote effective parent involvement in secondary education and transition."

The Information Brief titled "Supporting the Dynamic Development of Youth with Disabilities during Transition: A Guide for Families" discusses issues of concern for youth and their parents and families during transition from high school to the adult world.
